Core Research Pillars

Structured-Light 3D Imaging

Developing advanced real-time 3D shape and deformation measurement frameworks by fusing optical structured fringe projections with deep convolutional neural networks. Widely applied in computer-assisted surgery, robotic anastomosis, and facial digitization.

Camera & Depth Sensors

Conducting metrological evaluation, calibration, and noise-optimizations of high-speed infrared depth cameras (such as Microsoft Kinect systems) and advanced digital image correlation (DIC) architectures to detect sub-millimeter vibration frequencies.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Modeling and optimizing focused preclinical electromagnetic coils equipped with high-inductance magnetic cores. Prototyped subthreshold high-density theta burst stimulation (hdTBS) systems to induce suprathreshold motor responses in rats via temporal summation.
